About Maury Preservation Alliance
Why We Exist
We believe history matters in Maury County, Tennessee. We formed Maury Preservation Alliance to ensure that the tangible evidence of our past remains in the face of unprecedented growth now taking place. Historic structures are being lost, cemeteries are threatened, and agricultural landscapes that have sustained Maury County’s economy for over two centuries are being developed and lost forever.
Our purpose is to educate the public about why historic preservation matters, to advocate for historic places that can still be saved, and to raise funds to help protect them. Maury Preservation Alliance strives to be a trusted voice for historic preservation – one that the community, civic leaders, and developers can rely on to help guide responsible growth that safeguards Maury County’s shared heritage.
